DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet with patient prior to surgery to review scheduling, any required preoperative testing, and answer questions
Formally schedule all surgeries and in-office procedures with providers and corresponding operating rooms
Complete and fax hospital booking sheets to appropriate hospital to schedule OR time.
Schedule patient follow-up appointments
Transfer all preoperative testing results prior to surgery
Ensure providers are equipped with all required documentation
Work with nurses to facilitate postoperative care
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required
1–3 years of experience in a medical environment
Proficient computer skills including ability to master the office’s practice management software
Consistent professional conduct, meticulous attention to detail, and critical thinking skills and a positive attitude are essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required as well as interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $19.00 to $22.50. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, education, experience, and qualifications.
