Position Summary
Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial equipment supporting Walmart stores. Technicians will develop maintenance schedules, complete assigned PMs within deadlines, and provide training to Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.
Responsibilities
Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (e.g., expense vouchers, weekly summaries, maintenance logs).
Desired Qualities
Previous experience in maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, or food equipment.
Understanding of customer service and ability to communicate clearly, transparently, and respectfully.
Personal accountability and effective time management to achieve commitments.
Ability to adapt to changing and competing demands, using solid judgment to identify priorities.
Belief in Servant Leadership and ability to work as a team to achieve goals.
Minimum Qualifications
3 years’ experience in maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or related trades.
Valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
Eligibility for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Vocational or technical certification in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 5 years of experience in one of those trades.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical trade program, or a license in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
Intermediate level proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
