Overview
We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Talent Acquisition for University of Utah Health, Hospitals and Clinics!
Service, collaboration, and being a steward of HR data are key contributions for the Talent Acquisition Department and organization. This position is an operational leader responsible for execution and delivery of services, managing projects, building and presenting analytics, and maintaining internal and external relationships.
This leader works with HR leaders and colleagues, University SOM/Campus, and the Academic HR Department. This position supervises Talent Acquisition Recruiters, Internal Mobility Center Specialists, and Recruiter Specialists, and assists the director as needed for all other staff.
Responsibilities also include evaluating proposed talent acquisition data structures for efficiency and accuracy, driving recruitment advancements, learning about and recommending appropriate applications, recommendations to leaders, applicants and HR peers, and leading change. This role will drive operations and analytics forward.
System applications and capabilities include PeopleSoft, iCIMS applicant tracking, License Tracker, etc., and vendor data management. This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.
Qualified applicants must have completed:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Health Care Administration, or related field, or equivalency.
Four years of responsible management and/or strategic recruitment/talent acquisition or human resources experience or equivalency.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning, and supports and implements strategic initiatives within UUH Hospitals and Clinics, along with SOM - Health Sciences, Human Resources, and Campus Academics.
Responsible for end user expertise and support for all Talent Acquisition technology platforms, including reports, analysis and data as requested.
Guides assigned Recruiters on portfolios, comprising Human Resources and other positions as aligned with enterprise priorities.
Responsible for the HR Service Delivery to conduct day-to-day business operations for Talent Acquisition.
Supervises the administration for full-cycle Recruitment, Internal Mobility Center, Recruiter Specialist operations and other assigned candidate
ew hire transactions in alignment with established standards and priorities.
Responsible for creating project plans and giving status reports on assigned projects.
Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and escalating systemic risks, major exceptions, or resource constraints to the Director requiring coordination with other departments.

Contributes as an operational leader of the human resource leadership team and other committees addressing various strategic outcomes and initiatives.
Engages in creative thinking for streamlining the processes, data reports, and work activities involved in the recruitment, hiring, and employee support.
Understands complex processes and roles within an integrative care organization, with the ability to work collaboratively within the department and the overall organization.
Proactively engages with all internal and external business partners to achieve plan goals and organization business objectives.
Forms positive associations with staff, peers, and senior leadership to support the mission, vision, values, and performance standards of the organization.
Ability to translate strategy into clear, concise and actionable initiatives and action plans.
Analyzes data to identify and recommend new processes, procedures and improvements within the business operation to improve operational performance.
Supports innovation both within the HR and TA division and many initiatives across the organization in collaboration with other departments.
Reviews with director the labor and non-labor budgets to optimize UUH performance within approved budgets.
Identifies and manages the resources necessary for all stages (planning, estimation, execution) of systems development projects, ensuring that technical, financial and quality targets are met.
Partners on projects which affect the overall operation and strategic direction of the department, including developing strategies consistent with the university's continuous quality improvement program.
Manages and promotes continuous process improvements in assigned area(s).
Identifies and recommends strategies to streamline and improve operational efficiencies.
Ensures adherence to established procedures and initiates performance enhancements in areas identified as requiring improvement.
Responsible to supervise project objectives, meeting the operational goals and deliverables for all projects assigned.
Provides feedback to the director for input on performance discussions, including on-time appraisals and coaching, when appropriate.
Expects and responds appropriately to new demands, priorities, challenges, or obstacles.
Actively engages staff with updates and news as well as involving staff in decisions and work teams.
Responsible for upholding PROMISE standards in all internal and external interactions.
Ability to perform the KPIs of the position, as outlined above.
Demonstrated leadership, human relations, and effective communication skills.
Knowledge of hospital business operations and demonstrated strategic planning skills.
Knowledge of budgeting practices, reporting analysis, and forecasting.
Knowledge of information technology, data analysis and other efficiency tools.
Exceptional recruitment and retention skills.
Qualifications
Required:

Master's degree in Health Care Administration Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related area.
