This role is the primary campus contact for hardware and software issues. The role is responsible for ensuring the hardware is running correctly and is managed correctly in terms of contract maintenance, support and supplies. This person is also responsible for being the primary contact for IT during any system changes, enhancements and outages. They are also the key resource for specialty software and/or database applications specific to their campus.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions)
Act as primary IT contact for any systems issues
Review periodically system access to ensure everyone at the campus has correct clearance, coordinate and submit all system and access requests for leadership
Coordinate IT replacements of most hardware
Work with leasing company on printer maintenance and ordering of printer supplies
Responsible for new/replacement PC setups
Manage voice setup, equipment, and RF equipment repairs. Closely tracks voice equipment inventory to promptly identify when equipment is missing
Coordinate updates, assist with testing, and help support the various IT systems and software for Campus and Transportation
Set up all new equipment (RF units, handhelds, etc.)
Resolve all user problems to keep downtime at a minimum
Responsible for the completion of system backups (if required)
Keep all equipment including PC and terminal keyboards, printers and monitors clean
Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity
Knowledge
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
Strong knowledge of WMS and TMS systems
Skills
Excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills
Abilities
Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)
Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
Meet production standards set by the company
Stand for long periods of time
Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
Proficient with computer for data entry and research purposes
Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Education
High School education
Experience
Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment
3+ years of experience with hardware and software systems, maintenance, and technical support
