HR Benefits Coordinator

Position Summary
The HR Benefits Coordinator provides entry‑level administrative support for employee benefit programs across the United States and Canada. The role is responsible for accurate processing, maintenance, and reconciliation of benefits‑related data while coordinating with payroll, HR systems, benefit vendors, and Shared Services. The coordinator supports day‑to‑day benefits operations, maintains data integrity, and assists with employee inquiries.

This is a 4-month temporary role.

Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Administer weekly U.S. 401(k) payroll contribution files, ensuring accurate and timely transmission to vendors and alignment with payroll data.

Reconcile benefit vendor billing and invoices.

Track, administer, and maintain accurate records for employee leaves of absence in both the U.S. and Canada.

Maintain and audit employee benefit data across HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Assist with daily administration of benefit plans, including enrollments, life events, and ongoing employee updates.

Partner closely with the HR Shared Services center to support Tier 1 employee benefit inquiries and appropriately escalating issues.

Support ongoing process improvements and documentation related to benefits administration.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed in support of the broader HR and Total Rewards function.

Competency Requirements

Maintain confidentiality, follow instructions, and possess strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to navigate web‑based systems.

Positive attitude and ability to establish good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements

1–2 years of experience in human resources or benefits administration.

High School Diploma required; Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements

Occasionally required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
