
RxO - Materials Handler I (4th Shift)

GENERAL FUNCTION
The Materials Handler I is primarily responsible for the daily stocking, security and upkeep of the supply room of manufacturing consumable items, non‑consumable items, office supplies and equipment spare parts within LOM facilities.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains levels of inventory in the supply room and satellite locations in the manufacturing facility
Assists with the security of the supply room by monitoring and allowing access only by authorized personnel
Completes weekly cycle counts of inventory levels and updates the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) of on‑hand quantities
Retrieves freight from the dock and disassembles, organizes and stores freight into designated locations
Assists the Planner/Scheduler with pulling parts and supplies to maintain kits for scheduled maintenance
Assists the Sr. Purchasing Clerks to maintain hazardous materials for RxO and consumables for maintenance activities; submits purchase requests to maintain adequate stock levels
Assists Sr. Purchasing Clerks to maintain inventory levels of the spare tools program to ensure both Maintenance and Process Techs have adequate levels of tools to perform their duties
Identifies and reports stock levels below minimum quantities to supervision and management
Identifies and reports excess inventory stock levels to supervision and management
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High School degree or equivalent
1+ year(s) of experience
Computer literate with MS Office software programs such as Word and Excel
Capable of independent decision‑making
Demonstrated flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of the business
Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles
Demonstrated organizational skills necessary to complete assignments in a timely manner
Proactive in problem solving and take a lead role in resolution of spare parts and consumable items availability
Demonstrated effective oral and written communications skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1 year experience in purchasing and/or inventory control
Experience with any procurement system
Experience with any CMMS
