Position Summary
The Tank Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily logistics, inventory, and operational readiness of company-owned tanks and related equipment. This role ensures that tanks are properly maintained, tracked, and delivered to meet customer needs efficiently. The Tank Coordinator plays a key role in supporting field operations by coordinating tank movements, monitoring inventory levels, sourcing parts and supplies, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This position contributes directly to operational efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction in a fast‑paced environment.
Essential Functions
Order parts and supplies daily to support tank and equipment operations
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of tanks and tank components across all markets
Track tank locations, status, and availability to ensure readiness for deployment
Schedule and coordinate the transportation of tanks from yard locations to customer job sites
Communicate with drivers, yard personnel, and operations teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
Continuously evaluate vendor pricing and availability to secure cost‑effective and reliable supplies
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to improve service and procurement efficiency
Track, document, and follow up on tank repairs at customer locations
Investigate repair issues and coordinate resolution with maintenance teams and vendors
Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, movements, and associated costs
Assist in identifying opportunities to improve tank utilization and reduce downtime
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
Support field and yard operations with tank‑related logistics and coordination
Generate and maintain reports related:
Tank inventory levels
Equipment utilization
Repair status and costs
Vendor pricing and purchasing trends
Collaborate with rentals, operations, and service teams to ensure efficient workflow and communication
Participate in on‑call rotation or provide after‑hours support as required
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
