
Liability Claims Administrator

In‑N‑Out Burger is seeking a Liability Claims Administrator located in Irvine, CA. The candidate will report directly to the Senior Claims Manager and be responsible for independently managing and adjusting a wide range of general liability claims, including customer injury, property damage, and product liability matters. This role requires strong multitasking, negotiation, organization, customer orientation, and project management skills, as well as five (5) years of general liability claims administration experience.
General Responsibilities
General Liability Claim Administration: see claims through from intake to resolution.
Speak with Customers or their representatives by phone, email, or other correspondence to initiate the general liability process, ensuring claim files are opened and stored per filing procedures.
Collect relevant documentation to assess claim validity, conduct investigations, and maintain timely communication with the customer or representative, effectively and reasonably resolving claims.
Follow up on claims of property damage caused by third parties (e.g., customers, vendors), investigate, subrogate, and invoice customers or their representatives.
Assist with other claims-related support, investigations, regulatory matters, subpoenas, discovery, invoicing, and settlement distribution.
Work Schedule & Benefits
Full‑time position, exempt.
Onsite, in‑office hours in Irvine, CA: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm.
Occasional overtime may be requested based on departmental needs.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
5–8+ years of claims adjusting experience across multiple jurisdictions, with emphasis on California.
Knowledge of Origami Risk Management Insurance System (RMIS).
5+ years of customer service experience.
5+ years of general liability claims analyst/examiner experience.
Understanding of contract/indemnity and insurance issues, as well as medical and legal terminology.
Prior experience with self‑administered employer‑preferred plans.
Strong computer skills and general understanding of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other risk management or legal document management systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Understanding of the service environment at In‑N‑Out Burger.
Ability to take responsibility, exercise good judgment, and maintain ethical standards consistent with In‑N‑Out Burger’s values.
Ability to work effectively in a team and establish working relationships.
Strong time‑management skills and ability to manage a high‑volume caseload in a fast‑paced environment.
