What you will be doing
Lead civil litigation matters from inception through verdict
Serve as first chair in jury and bench trials involving public entities
Develop trial strategy, prepare witnesses, and conduct examinations
Handle discovery, depositions, and complex motion practice
Draft persuasive briefs, pleadings, and legal memoranda
Argue motions, including Motions in Limine, and manage jury selection
Advise and regularly communicate with government clients
Appear at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
Stay current on changes in California law impacting public entities

Compensation and benefits
Salary range: $200,000 to $225,000, depending on background
Annual billable hours bonus program
1,800 annual billable hours target
