
Associate Attorney

Your role:
We are seeking to add a Family Law Senior Attorney to our expanding practice. Day-to-day, you will be directly involved with supporting our clients in areas such as divorce proceedings, adoptions, prenuptial agreements, visitation rights, protective orders, custody, and others.
Your responsibilities:
Managing a team of Associates and Legal support staff
Providing representation for clients in court in legal cases as pertains to family law
Guiding and supporting legal assistants and law clerks
Attending trials and court proceedings
Managing a regular schedule of hearings and court appearances
Evaluating and analyzing any evidence that may prove beneficial to your clients
Regular communication with clients regarding updates to their case
Direct mediation sessions and offer constructive legal advice
Your experience:
Licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland (Barred in DC, VA, and PA is a plus)
Experience litigating domestic & civil cases
Detail oriented, adept at both research and critical thinking
Effective communication, both verbal and written
Organized, able to effectively manage time and multitask
Knowledgeable in family law areas including childcare, paternity, adoption, domestic violence, ancillary relief, financial settlements, etc.
Adept at drafting custody agreements, wills, divorces, annulments, prenuptial agreements, child custody, support, visitation rights, etc.
Practiced in negotiation, debate, and persuasion techniques
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a diverse clientele, including children and the elderly

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $100,000-$175,000/annually, based on experience
Periodic reviews & subsequent pay raises when goals are met
