Family Law Attorney

Position Overview

The Family Law Attorney will represent clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, custody disputes, child support matters, enforcement actions, and post-judgment modifications.
This role requires an attorney who can guide clients through some of the most emotionally challenging periods of their lives with

professionalism, compassion, and clear communication . The successful candidate will manage cases from beginning to resolution while working collaboratively with the firm’s legal team.
Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in family law matters in district courts throughout North Texas.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and develop persuasive legal arguments.
Advise clients on legal strategies, risks, and potential outcomes.
Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients during mediation and other dispute resolution processes.
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to move cases forward efficiently.
Work with custody evaluators, mental health professionals, and other experts involved in family law cases.
Maintain compliance with ethical obligations, legal standards, and firm procedures.
Utilize legal technology, including case management systems and digital communication tools.
Manage administrative responsibilities related to client matters and timekeeping.
Qualifications

Required
Active Texas law license in good standing
5–10 years of family law experience
Significant courtroom experience with the ability to manage cases from start to finish
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proven ability to build trust and rapport with clients
Ability to manage emotionally sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
