As a Consulting Network Engineer, you will join a dynamic, high-energy tech services team where your expertise in network engineering will be put to the test. This role requires a dedicated, innovative professional who can maintain and improve complex network infrastructures. You will work with a team of seasoned professionals and provide top-tier solutions to network-related issues. You will be adept at troubleshooting, have a keen eye for detail, and be able to work under pressure. You will provide consulting services to clients and help optimize network performance using Cisco, Juniper switches, and SolarWinds.
Design, implement, and support complex networking solutions to meet client needs.
Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely, effective solutions.
Monitor network performance and adjust to ensure optimal performance.
Provide technical consultation on network design and architecture.
Collaborate with team members to develop and implement strategic network plans.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and tools; recommend implementations.
Conduct regular network audits and prepare detailed reports on status and performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a consulting role.
Extensive experience with Cisco, Juniper switches, and SolarWinds.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
Strong communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven experience in designing and implementing complex networking solutions.
Up-to-date knowledge of the latest networking technologies and tools.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of network security best practices and protocols is a plus.
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCIS are a plus.
