Qualifications
Education

Other completion of accredited program in cardiovascular technology. Must obtain RCIS within 6 months of hire.

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent. 2 Years work experience in invasive cardiology.

Experience

2 Years required with high school diploma.

Licenses and Certifications

ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Upon Hire).

GMRT – General Medical Radiologic Technologist (If ARRT Only Upon Hire, Preferred).

RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Obtain within 6 months if graduate from Cardiovascular Accredited Program, Upon Hire).

LMRT – Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (If RCIS Only Upon Hire, Preferred).

RCES – Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (For Electrophysiology Labs Only, Upon Hire).

BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly).

ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (90 Days).

CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (Maintained Annually 90 Days).
