Registered Nurse – Day Shift
Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a 118-bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital and Residential Treatment Center for children and adolescents ages four through eighteen. The 55,000 square foot facility is situated on approximately 10 acres in the southeast corner of Alabama, less than 20 miles from both Florida and Georgia. The hospital employs approximately 195 staff members.
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to psychiatric patients (children and adolescents) utilizing the established nursing process. Responsibilities include documentation, nursing groups, following program guidelines, medication administration, providing a safe and therapeutic environment by intervening with disturbed patients, admissions and discharges, and using restraint techniques when necessary.

Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age
Graduate from an accredited RN School of Nursing
An associate degree or diploma in nursing required
Current status as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama
