Position Overview

CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform clinical laboratory testing at a federal correctional institution in Oxford, Wisconsin. FCI Oxford is a medium-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp in rural central Wisconsin. You will conduct hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology testing, maintaining CLIA compliance and quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities

Perform clinical laboratory testing in hematology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis, serology, and basic microbiology
Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens following CLSI standards
Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers, centrifuges, and point-of-care testing equipment
Perform quality control testing, proficiency testing, and instrument calibrations
Review and release results, flagging critical values for immediate provider notification
Support infectious disease screening programs including TB, HIV, hepatitis, and STI testing
Ensure CLIA, CAP, and BOP laboratory compliance
Required Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science
ASCP certification (MLT or MLS)
Current BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
U.S. citizenship required
Ability to pass federal background investigation
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Clinical Laboratory Science preferred
Point-of-care testing coordinator experience
Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $55,000 - $72,000 annually
