Overview
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. This position may involve Echo Tech responsibilities as part of the cardiac imaging team.
Responsibilities
Educate patients and/or patients' family regarding procedures performed
Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies
Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler exams
Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to physician and benchmark standards
Perform quality transesophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations
Demonstrate understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images
Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation
Perform all related processing required for each completed study
Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure and identify problems with equipment and report appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records
Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS National Certification and state-specific licensing when required.
Echo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Echo Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
Other certifications:
BLS, ARDMS; 2 years recommended. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
