
Mental Health Technician-Full time

Perimeter Behavioral of West Memphis Arkansas has an immediate opening for a Mental Health Technician/Youth Care Worker! This is a great entry‑level position in psychology/behavioral health. If you are seeking a career opportunity or desire to change a child's life, apply today! Shift times are 7 p‑7 a or 7 a‑7 p.
Responsibilities
Care patients daily by assessing behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift. Conduct direct observation rounds and document patient behavior.
Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients.
Orient the patients to the unit and assist them with daily living skills.
Provide a safe, clean and therapeutic environment.
Provide physical restraint or intervention if appropriate. Training will be provided.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Degree or equivalent required. Preferred education or work experience in psychology, human services, nursing, or social work environments.
Experience:
At least one (1) year of related experience in an assisted living, residential, or hospital setting. Psychiatric experience preferred. Alternatively one year as a Corpsman in the Military.
Schedule
Must be able to work a rotation of 4 days on/2 days off if working full time.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push and pull to perform restraints.
Minimum Age
Must be at least 21 years of age.
