Description
Texas Biomed is searching for an
Animal Caretaker in the Chimp Group .
Role
Wash down and move cages, feed animals, perform daily health checks on animals, and sanitize cages using various detergents and portable power washers.
Provide daily care for chimpanzees, including watering, feeding, daily cleaning of cages, and other aspects of primate husbandry.
Record health data and assist Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians in health care.
Assist in environmental enrichment programs.
Work well as a team member and independently.
Ideal Candidate
High school diploma or GED required.
Animal experience is a plus.
Valid Driver’s license.
Available to work Monday‑Friday, 7 am to 4 pm with a rotating schedule covering some weekends and holidays.
