Job Summary
The Access Department, also known as the Admitting Department, serves as the "face" of the hospital. If you are a people person with strong communication skills, this role offers an opportunity to continue developing and nurturing those abilities.
Responsibilities
As the first department most patients encounter, you will play a key role in shaping the patient’s overall experience at our facility and setting the tone for the organization’s mission to continuously improve the health and well-being of the people we serve. Your main duties will include registering each patient promptly, recording their demographic and insurance information, and providing the utmost in customer service and satisfaction.
Training and Certification
Training will consist of in-depth instruction from the manager or preceptor. Once you settle in, you will have the option of taking the NAHAM test, which will nationally certify you as an Access Associate.
Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent
Good computer skills and typing speed
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to work promptly and accurately with patient information
Athletic ambition and drive to improve personal and organizational performance
Additional Requirements
Appropriate dress code and punctuality are required to complete the interview.
