Position Summary
Rehabilitation Technician assists clinicians with all aspects of patient care in a fast paced work environment. This includes assisting patient and clinicians with exercise, modality setup/breakdown, scheduling of patients, registration and checking in of patients, printing of home exercise programs, answering phone calls, maintaining clean work environment, washing and folding linens, taking inventory of clinic supplies and placing orders to restock, and any other tasks asked of them to help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient clinical work atmosphere.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
Current CPR certification
Position Criteria
The applicant must be a fully qualified person from a clinical standpoint.
The applicant must be sufficiently flexible to ensure that STAT and fluctuating requests are effectively handled.
The applicant will have considerable contact with physicians, patients, families, department staff, and other hospital personnel and must be able to handle these effectively.
The applicant must follow the dress code established by the hospital.
Able to complete on the job training.
Ability to effectively present information and answer questions from management, customers, patients and the general public.
Computer skills adequate to properly access patient records, electronic medical records, and fully utilize Google Drive, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with customer service, exercise/fitness, medical/anatomy coursework preferred (required and preferred education, certifications and experience based on requirements that are job‑related and consistent with business necessity).
Work Environment / Physical Demands
The ideal candidate must be able to work and complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Demonstrates the ability to work accurately and effectively in oral and written directions and communication.
Enjoys working with people and works cooperatively with other hospital staff.
Constant kneeling, stooping, bending, twisting and occasional need to lift patients.
Medium lifting, generally lifting not more than 50 lbs. maximum with assistance, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
