Job Summary
Responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care and function as a patient advocate.
Assess the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
Coordinate the patient and family/significant other education process.
Continuously plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
Participate with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
Effectively communicate all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
Communicate and document changes in patient condition on a timely basis to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
License, Certification, Education or Experience
Required:
Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
Minimum of one-year recent RN experience in critical care or intensive care nursing.
Current WA State Registered Nurse License.
Current Healthcare Provider BLS (American Heart Association) by start date.
Current Healthcare Provider ACLS (American Heart Association) by start date.
Desired:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
CCRN certification preferred.
