About the Role

We are seeking an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our growing team in a full-time or part-time, on-site role. This position plays a key role in supporting clinical procedures, assisting chairside, and performing expanded duties in accordance with state regulations.
Beyond clinical responsibilities, this role is essential in creating a positive, comfortable experience for our patients through strong communication, education, and attentive care.

Key Responsibilities

Perform expanded duties, including restorative procedures (fillings and crown buildups), temporary crown fabrication, and other EDDA functions in accordance with state guidelines
Assist with a variety of procedures, including extractions, implants, and occasional pediatric care
Capture digital X-rays and 3D scans
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and equipment
Ensure all sterilization, infection control, and HIPAA protocols are followed
Accurately chart and document patient records in Dentrix
Support an efficient, organized clinical workflow while maintaining a high standard of patient care
Qualifications

Current EDDA certification required
Minimum of 2 years of EDDA experience
Proficiency in chairside assisting and expanded duties
Strong understanding of general dentistry procedures and workflows
Experience with Dentrix preferred
Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control protocols
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to also work independently
Current CPR certification, or willingness to obtain within 90 days
