Position Description
The Junior SDET will support test automation development, execution, and maintenance activities under the guidance of the Lead SDET. The role will focus on building and executing automated test scripts, validating application functionality, and supporting test reporting and defect analysis at client sites in Knoxville, TN; Lafayette, LA; or Columbia, SC. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Selenium.

Execute automated and manual test cases for functional and regression testing.

Assist in migration of existing Selenium scripts to Playwright (TypeScript).

Use GitHub Copilot to accelerate script development and maintenance.

Perform basic log analysis using tools such as Splunk and AWS Log Insights.

Support test data preparation and environment validation.

Execute test suites and report defects with proper documentation.

Collaborate with developers and QA team members to resolve issues.

Contribute to continuous improvement of automation coverage.

Required Qualifications

2 years of relevant experience.

Working knowledge of Playwright or Selenium.

Basic programming skills (JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python).

Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or similar tools (preferred).

Understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC.

Basic knowledge of log analysis tools (Splunk, AWS logs).

Desired Skillset

Exposure to API testing.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools.

Basic understanding of cloud environments (AWS preferred).

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Compensation
The current compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $57,100.00 – $95,800.00.
