Position Description
The Junior SDET will support test automation development, execution, and maintenance activities under the guidance of the Lead SDET. The role will focus on building and executing automated test scripts, validating application functionality, and supporting test reporting and defect analysis.
We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!
This role is located at a client site in either Knoxville, TN, Lafayette, LA or Columbia, SC. A hybrid working model is acceptable.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Selenium
Execute automated and manual test cases for functional and regression testing
Assist in migration of existing Selenium scripts to Playwright (TypeScript)
Use GitHub Copilot to accelerate script development and maintenance
Perform basic log analysis using tools such as Splunk and AWS Log Insights
Support test data preparation and environment validation
Execute test suites and report defects with proper documentation
Collaborate with developers and QA team members to resolve issues
Contribute to continuous improvement of automation coverage
Required Qualifications
2+ years of relevant experience
Working knowledge of Playwright or Selenium
Basic programming skills (JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python)
Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or similar tools (preferred exposure)
Understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC
Basic knowledge of log analysis tools (Splunk, AWS logs)
Desired Skillset
Exposure to API testing
Familiarity with CI/CD tools
Basic understanding of cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Compensation
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $57,100.00 – $95,800.00.
