Overview
The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenure-ineligible clinical faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, with a subspecialty focus on Lung Transplant, to join our program.
The successful candidate will participate in our lung transplant practice and devote effort in programmatic development and outreach and have completed a lung transplant fellowship program or have sufficient clinical training and experience in lung transplantation. Primary duties will focus on the care of lung transplant patients, including initial evaluation, pre-transplant care and post-transplant care. As an integral part of the educational mission, the incumbent will actively participate in the teaching of fellows, residents and medical students.
Qualifications
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, be board certified/board eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine by appointment date. We are looking for a highly collaborative team member who has experience in all aspects of medical management of lung transplant patients including critical care post-op management, bronchoscopy with proficiency in lavage and transbronchial biopsy.
