Academic Lung Transplant Physician
The University of South Florida (USF) and Tampa General Hospital (TGH) invite applications for a Pulmonary and Critical Care physician with specialized expertise in Lung Transplantation and Advanced Lung Disease. Qualified candidates must be board-eligible or board-certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, with additional fellowship training or equivalent experience in Lung Transplant Pulmonary Medicine and Advanced Lung Diseases.

Key Responsibilities
Provide care at a nationally ranked Lung Transplant program, delivering outstanding clinical outcomes and patient survival.
Work within a team-based care philosophy, collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary faculty and staff including advanced practice providers, surgeons, and transplant coordinators.
Manage all aspects of lung transplant pulmonary medicine, including ICU care of pre- and post-transplant patients and those supported on VV ECMO; manage immunosuppression; provide inpatient floor care; conduct longitudinal follow-up of post-transplant patients in the outpatient clinic; evaluate patients with end-stage lung disease; perform surveillance bronchoscopies and transbronchial biopsies; and participate in donor evaluation, acceptance, and donor management.
Serve as a faculty pulmonologist at USF, actively teaching Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellows and Lung Transplant Pulmonary fellows.
Engage in scholarly activities such as clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and academic presentations.
Participate in a robust research environment with opportunities for clinical and translational collaboration, including funded institutional and industry-sponsored studies.
