Position Details

Summary: Two data collection assistants are needed to collect survey data from Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park (KEMO) visitors between January 2024 and December 2024. The job will require 8-16 hours of work per month, with no more than 4 hours per shift. Days are flexible and will be determined with feedback from Dr. Kyle Woosnam.
Work location: KEMO; locations vary by day of week and time of day to intercept visitors and request completion of an on-site questionnaire (approximately 10-12 minutes).
Responsibilities: Secure completed questionnaires until collected by Dr. Kyle Woosnam or a doctoral research assistant.

Secure completed questionnaires until scheduled collection.
Duties/Responsibilities and Time Allocation

Percentage Of Time: 98% for data collection.
Percentage Of Time: 2% for securement of questionnaires.
Qualifications and Experience

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification: Preferred experience volunteering at KEMO and assisting the national park with visitation/planning/management matters. Ideally reside in or near Kennesaw, Georgia.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong people skills; ability to approach park users and invite participation in a pencil-and-paper questionnaire.
Physical Demands: Outdoor work with exposure to weather; tents provided in warm weather; UGA apparel for warm and cold temperatures.
