RN First Assistant – Operating Room
Providence Cedars‑Sinai Tarzana Medical Center, CA
Per‑diem position; 8‑hour day shifts.
Responsibilities
Assist the primary surgeon pre‑operatively, intra‑operatively, and post‑operatively.
Provide organized instruction and supervised practice to the surgical team.
Act in absence of a qualified physician when required.
Work under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
Qualifications
Successful completion of a RN First Assistant course.
California Registered Nurse license at time of hire.
National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association at time of hire.
California Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire.
Minimum three (3) years of peri‑operative nursing practice as both scrub and circulator.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
