Pitt-Bradford - Women's Soccer Intern
The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (NCAA Division III) invites applications for a 10‑month full‑time Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach (intern). The university is a co‑educational liberal arts college known for academic excellence.
Hourly Rate: $7.25
This is a 10‑month position that includes room and board, and a meal plan.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with all facets of the Women’s Soccer program including recruiting, scouting, player and team development, team travel, camps and clinics.
Recruit qualified student‑athletes—maintain database, manage communications and prospect information, generate and update recruiting calendars and schedules, evaluate and communicate with prospective student‑athletes, recruit and retain qualified athletes.
Organize and coordinate all team travel including meals, hotel arrangements, securing practice sites and times, and other travel needs such as equipment.
Assist with all aspects of game preparation including scouting.
Assist with practice preparation and organization.
Assist with off‑season program evaluations and preparations.
Assist with in‑game strategies, adjustments, and decision‑making.
Assist with on‑court and in‑practice teaching, coaching, and demonstration.
Conduct individual workouts and skill‑development sessions.
Assist with planning and preparation for all summer camps.
Ensure adherence to rules, regulations, and policies of all governing bodies—University Athletics, University, Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, and NCAA.
Participate in the overall administration of the Athletics Department by representing the office as requested and cooperatively assisting colleagues. This includes attending all mandatory department activities and functions, membership on department and campus committees, and participation upon request in enrollment, fundraising, and promotional events.
Support athletic operations and essential functions, as assigned by the Director of Athletic Events and Operations.
Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director/Head Women’s Soccer Coach.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules, regulations, and the Division III philosophy.
1‑3 years of collegiate coaching experience preferred.
NCAA playing experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to teach, strategize, recruit, manage, and represent a highly competitive college women’s soccer program.
