Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and skilled CNC Machinist / Press Setup Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This dual-role position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines as well as progressive die stamping presses. The ideal candidate has experience in precision machining and metal stamping, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision machined components
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and part specifications
Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials
Adjust CNC machine settings to optimize performance and maintain quality
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC equipmentSet up and operate progressive die stamping presses (100–800+ ton range)
Install dies, tooling, and materials for production runs
Monitor press operations and make necessary adjustments
Measure and inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
Ensure all products meet required tolerances and specifications
Maintain accurate production and inspection records
Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
Experience with CNC machine setup and operation required
Experience with progressive die press setup and metal stamping required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude
Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
Experience working with high-tonnage presses (100–800+ tons) preferred
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment
Industrial/manufacturing setting
Exposure to machinery, noise, and metal materials
Standing for extended periods
