Job Summary
Process Technician – 3rd Shift at Lubrizol Corporation, Franklin, WI. Full‑time on‑site shift work. Sign‑on bonus of up to $10,000 available.
Responsibilities
Disassemble, clean and reassemble material handling equipment in a thorough and timely manner.
Supply clean IPA to various departments.
Maintain disposable equipment inventory levels using the Kanban system.
Prepare and label solvent hazardous waste for disposal.
Follow procedures for safe handling of flammable solvents.
Assemble material handling equipment.
Accurately record data on routers, QAD and other ERP systems.
Perform set‑up of molding equipment on Vesta presses.
Diagnose / troubleshoot processing issues on Vesta presses.
Provide technical support to daily production activities utilizing Vesta presses.
Set‑up and maintain manual secondary cutting and punching fixtures.
Set‑up and maintain automated cutting and punching equipment.
Diagnose / troubleshoot vision inspection camera issues.
Perform set‑up of molding equipment on commercial presses.
Diagnose / troubleshoot and repair material delivery systems.
Diagnose / troubleshoot processing issues on Commercial presses.
Wire heaters in parallel or series.
Disassemble, clean and reassemble cold runner systems.
Set‑up and maintain part handling automation equipment.
Replace intricate mold components.
Inspect, review and score mold conditions.
Execute established molding DOEs.
Balance a multi‑drop cold runner utilizing sequential valve gates.
Understand and follow SOPs and Work Instructions pertaining to your area.
Maintain safety, quality, productivity, scrap, rework, utilization, and efficiency.
Other duties as assigned.
Observe and promote company standards and policies on safety, quality and productivity.
Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in medical device and clean‑room environments.
Support and observe 5S and other lean manufacturing methodologies.
Qualifications
Successful completion of four–years of high school or equivalent.
5+ years of experience, or equivalent education and experience providing knowledge, skills and abilities.
Experience performing mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics or pneumatic systems repair (preferred).
Basic understanding of Preventative Maintenance Programs and 5S principles.
Medical Device manufacturing and clean‑room environment experience desired.
Considered a Plus
Excellent written and verbal communication and effective human interaction skills.
Flexible to change, possesses high integrity and a can‑do attitude.
Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.
Able to convert units of measurement, perform basic arithmetic.
Ability to receive and provide instructions positively.
Proficient with basic hand tools (adjustable wrench, Allen keys, screwdrivers, ratchet, sockets).
What Will Be Your Environment
Constant exposure to moving mechanical parts with a frequent risk of electrical shock.
Occasional work in high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions; rarely exposed to extreme cold or heat or wet/humid conditions.
Moderate noise level (normal shop conditions).
Required personal protective equipment: safety glasses, hairnet/beard cover, jumpsuit, gloves, earplugs (when required) and steel‑toed shoes (preferred).
Medium physical demand with frequent lifting 10–25 pounds; lifting >100 pounds is rare.
Frequent sustained bending, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl, reach above shoulders, and repetitive bending or squatting with constant exposure to dynamic standing/walking and fine hand use.
Occasional static standing/walking, pushing/pulling 15 lbs, floor‑to‑knuckle lift 40 lbs, knuckle‑to‑shoulder lift 75 lbs, shoulder‑to‑overhead lift 15 lbs, or ladder climb/balance.
Few exposures to operating machines with foot/feet.
Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
