Responsibilities
Disassemble, clean and reassemble material handling equipment in a thorough and timely manner.
Supply clean IPA used for cleaning to various departments.
Maintain disposable equipment inventory levels using the Kanban system.
Prepare and label solvent hazardous waste for disposal.
Follow procedures for safe handling of flammable solvents.
Assemble material handling equipment.
Accurately record data on routers, QAD and other ERP systems used.
Perform set‑up of molding equipment on Vesta presses.
Diagnose/troubleshoot processing issues on Vesta presses.
Provide technical support to daily production activities utilizing Vesta presses.
Set‑up and maintain manual secondary cutting and punching fixtures.
Set‑up and maintain automated cutting and punching equipment.
Diagnose/troubleshoot vision inspection camera issues.
Perform set‑up of molding equipment on commercial presses.
Diagnose/troubleshoot and repair material delivery systems.
Diagnose/troubleshoot processing issues on commercial presses.
Ability to wire heaters in parallel or series.
Disassemble, clean and re‑assemble cold runner systems.
Set‑up and maintain part handling automation equipment.
Replace intricate mold components.
Inspect, review and score mold conditions.
Execute established molding DOEs.
Balance a multi‑drop cold runner utilizing sequential valve gates.
Understand and follow SOPs pertaining to your area.
Understand and follow Work Instructions pertaining to your area.
Maintain Safety, Quality, Productivity, scrap, rework, utilization, and efficiency.
Other duties as assigned.
Observe and promote Company standards and policies on safety, quality and productivity.
Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in medical device and clean‑room environment.
Support and observe 5S and other lean manufacturing methodologies.
Required Qualifications
Successful completion of four‑years of high school, or equivalent.
3+ years of experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
Experience performing mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics or pneumatic systems repair (preferred).
Basic understanding of Preventive Maintenance Programs and 5S principles.
Medical device manufacturing and clean‑room environment experience is desired.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication and effective human interaction skills.
Flexible to change and possess a high degree level of integrity and a can‑do attitude.
Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.
Able to convert units of measurement, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.
Proficient in basic hand tools such as adjustable wrench, Allen keys, screwdrivers, ratchet and sockets.
Work Environment
Standing, walking, or operating equipment for extended periods.
Working in a laboratory or manufacturing setting with appropriate PPE provided.
Use of computers and digital tools in an office or hybrid environment.
Occasional lifting or movement of materials.
Adherence to rigorous safety protocols and ergonomic standards.
Employee constantly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts with frequent risk of electrical shock.
Occasional exposure to working in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions; rarely (if ever) to extreme cold or heat.
Noise level considered moderate (normal shop conditions).
Employee required to wear appropriate PPE such as safety glasses, hairnet/beard cover, jumpsuit, gloves, earplugs and steel‑toed shoes (preferred).
Physical demand level considered medium with frequent lifting of 10–25 lb; rare exposure to lifting more than 100 lb.
During maintenance work, frequent exposure to sustained bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching above shoulders and repetitive bending or squatting; constant exposure to dynamic standing/walking and hands handling finer tasks.
Occasional exposure to static standing/walking, pushing/pulling (15 lb), floor‑to‑knuckle lift/lower (40 lb), knuckle‑to‑shoulder lift/lower (75 lb), shoulder‑to‑overhead lift/lower (15 lb) or climb/balance on a ladder.
Rare exposure to using foot/feet to operate machine.
Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
