
Occupational Therapist - Neuro - PRN - North Fulton

Job Overview
The Occupational Therapist assesses, plans, organizes, and participates in rehabilitation programs to restore or improve function in activities of daily living, functional mobility, cognitive tasks, strength, coordination, and range of motion in patients affected by disease or injury. Services are provided across the full continuum of care in a cost‑effective, quality‑focused, and patient‑centered manner. Compliance with all applicable regulatory standards is required.
Treatment Planning and Provision of Care
Implement occupational therapy treatment plans.
Select appropriate treatment activities to help patients progress toward goals.
Provide ongoing education and training to patients and families.
Offer discharge instructions, follow‑up care, and referrals to community resources as needed.
Serve as a resource for staff, families, and physicians on rehabilitation services and equipment.
Collaboration and Documentation
Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, plans of care, goals, and discharge plans.
Develop a plan of care in partnership with the patient and/or family members.
Document evaluations and treatment plans according to departmental guidelines.
Complete and submit family education, discharge, and other required documentation within facility and program guidelines.
Teamwork and Professionalism
Embrace diversity and work effectively as part of a team.
Adhere to attendance and punctuality policies.
Communicate clearly and effectively with team members, both verbally and in writing.
Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, in‑services, process improvement activities, and other required meetings.
Use materials and equipment safely and cost‑effectively.
Follow infection prevention protocols.
Customer Service and Training
Lead the industry with vision, technology, innovation, and exceptional customer service.
Fulfill all educational requirements to maintain licensure, including additional training if desired.
Assist in the orientation and training of new employees.
Complete all mandatory hospital/system requirements.
Compliance
Comply with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and the code of conduct.
Education and Licensure
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
Occupational Therapist licensure required.
Experience and Skills
No specific experience required.
Strong customer service focus and team‑oriented mindset.
Basic computer skills.
