Family Law Paralegal (High-Level Case Management Role)
This is not a basic support role — it’s a high-level case management role. Experienced family law paralegal to work on site in Miami Lakes. Costa & Associates is a boutique, growing law firm focused on family law and transactional real estate matters. We are building a team to grow with us and create a long‑term working relationship. This role is best suited for someone who:

Has significant experience handling Florida family law matters such as divorces, paternity, child support, parenting plans and more

Can proactively move family law cases forward without constant direction

Takes pride in precision, organization, and follow‑through

Understands how to support attorneys by keeping cases fully prepared and on track

Likes assisting in the roadmap of what is often chaotic to steady and peaceful for clients

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary:

$70,000 – $99,000 yearly (based on experience and capability)

Performance Bonuses:

Based on effectiveness, organization, and overall contribution

Paid Time Off:

After 120 days

8 paid firm holidays

8 paid vacation days annually, with partial availability during the first year and an additional day added yearly thereafter

Responsibilities

Manage the day‑to‑day progression of a caseload of Florida family law matters under attorney supervision, including divorce, paternity, support, modifications, and enforcement.

Track and ensure all deadlines, filings, disclosures, and hearings are met.

Draft and finalize family law pleadings, motions, parenting plans, and settlement agreements for attorney review.

Analyze and reconcile financial documents (bank statements, tax returns, pay stubs, etc.) against financial affidavits.

Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and courts as appropriate.

Maintain highly organized, complete, and court‑ready files.

Anticipate needs, identify issues, and proactively keep matters moving forward.

Find solutions and propose options.

Communicate with the family law team to ensure clients are informed, updated, and served.

Work Environment
Full‑time, in‑person role in Miami Lakes, Florida.

Monday—Thursday: 8:45 am–5:45 pm & 5 pm Fridays.

Qualifications

Proven experience handling Florida family law cases with a high level of independence.

Strong knowledge of Florida family law procedures, filings, and court systems.

Exceptional attention to detail and organization.

Ability to work with minimal oversight while maintaining strong communication with attorneys, co‑workers, and clients.

Professional judgment, initiative, and follow‑through.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
