Responsibilities

Assist patients in setting appropriate goals related to discharge planning and discuss ongoing discharge plans with patients.

Provide group therapy sessions and effectively manage group processes to maximize therapeutic benefits to patients.

Conduct process and specialty groups as assigned.

Participate in unit treatment team meetings.

Coordinate the development and review of the Master Treatment Plan and Treatment Plan updates, including input from all treatment team disciplines.

Complete psychosocial assessments for newly admitted patients and ensure the psychosocial data is comprehensive, completed within a specified timeline, and includes an integrated summary with recommendations for treatment and discharge.

Assure continuity of care for person-centered discharge planning by summarizing active treatment goals and recommendations for aftercare.

Assist supervisor in the division of workload and related aspects of clinic or hospital management.

Prepare reports, case records, and correspondence.

Education and Experience
Mental Health Clinician 1 : Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in counseling, psychology, social work, child guidance, vocational rehabilitation, or a closely related field.

Mental Health Clinician 2 : Master’s degree from an accredited college in counseling, psychology, social work, child guidance, vocational rehabilitation, or a closely related field.

Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities in Analysis and Assessment, Decision Making, Interpersonal Skills, Psychology, and Therapy and Counseling.

Psychology: Knowledge of concepts, principles, and theories of human behavior in various contexts and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.

Therapy and Counseling: Knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of physical and mental ailments and career guidance.
