Working in our Somersworth, NH location, this position requires two evening shifts per week, working until clinic close (6:00 pm Monday‑Thursday; 5:00 pm Fridays) or Saturday coverage (8:00‑12:00 pm).

Responsible for planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. They will be responsible for Physical Therapy Students and Physical Therapy Assistants as well as training new staff as needed.

Essential Functions

Establish therapy goals and formulate a treatment plan based on evaluation results.

Supervise PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.

Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions for clients engaged in outpatient therapy.

Participate in the interdisciplinary group for hospice patients and the case conference meetings for home health patients.

Participate in discharge planning.

Provide initial assessment of clinical needs using standardized tools and protocols and facilitate recommendations for treatment.

Record all pertinent data in the patient's medical records.

Education
Doctor of Physical Therapy required.

Licenses and Credentials

Physical Therapist [NH license] – required.

Basic Life Support (BLS certification) – AHA – within 14 days of hire.

Experience
Experience working as a physical therapist in a hospital, rehab or ambulatory setting 1–2 years preferred. This role does not accept experience in lieu of a degree.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Excellent organizational skills.

Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems.

Effective communication in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

Ability to teach others.

Excellent problem‑solving, case management and communication skills.

Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
