Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Accountant position based in Tallahassee, FL. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining and analyzing financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. Specific tasks include preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, processing invoices and payments, managing budgets, and assisting with audits. The Accountant will also support the financial decision-making process and work closely with other team members to ensure organizational financial goals are met.
Qualifications
Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget management
Experience with account reconciliations, invoicing, and payments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Understanding of regulatory compliance and audit preparation
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles (a plus)
