Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing healthcare organization. This role is a key contributor to the finance team, responsible for general ledger accuracy, financial reporting, and month‑end close. The position is designed with a clear path to promotion into an Accounting Manager or higher-level role based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
Support and lead the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
Ensure proper revenue and expense classification in accordance with GAAP and healthcare accounting standards
Perform balance sheet reconciliations, payroll and benefits analysis, and budget‑vs‑actual variance analysis
Partner with operations, payroll, and revenue cycle teams to ensure accurate financial data
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning alongside the CFO
Support board reporting, external audits, and coordination with third‑party CPA firms
Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and accounting processes
Contribute to cash flow optimization, cost management, and financial modeling for growth initiatives
Growth Opportunity
Direct exposure to the CFO and strategic finance initiatives
Opportunity to take on increasing ownership and leadership responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA is a plus)
3–6+ years of accounting experience (healthcare or public accounting preferred)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with month‑end close and financial analysis
Advanced Excel and ERP system experience preferred
