Senior Superintendent – Multifamily Construction
Position Overview
The Senior Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all field operations on multifamily construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role leads site teams, coordinates subcontractors, and serves as the primary on-site point of contact.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from ground-up through project closeout
Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules and lookahead plans
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety standards
Conduct regular site walks to monitor quality control and progress
Collaborate with Project Managers on budgeting, procurement, and logistics
Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and delays proactively
Manage inspections, permitting, and ensure code compliance
Maintain daily reports, documentation, and site records
Drive project completion in alignment with client expectations and company goals
Qualifications
8–15+ years of construction experience, with a strong focus on multifamily projects
Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Superintendent on ground-up multifamily developments
Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and building systems (Type I–V)
Ability to manage large teams and multiple subcontractors
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Proficient with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)
OSHA 30 certification preferred
