PCBA Process Engineer
located in
Austin, TX.
Reporting to the
Process Engineering Manager
the
PCBA Process Engineer
is in charge for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to hold up a manufacturing organization.
What a typical day looks like:
Develop and optimize SMT processes including printing, placement, reflow, AOI/SPI.
Troubleshoot defects and lead root cause and corrective action activities.
Support NPI builds, DFM reviews, and process validation.
Maintain process documentation and establish process controls (SPC, DOE).
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure stable line performance.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/6σ tools.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
2–5 years SMT process engineering experience.
Knowledge of SMT equipment and IPC standards (IPC A 610, J STD 001).
Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
Experience with equipment such as ASM, DEK/MPM, BTU/Heller/Kurtz Ersa, Koh Young, Nordson.
Lean Six Sigma or IPC certification.
