Overview
OWL Services is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair electro-mechanical equipment in the field. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined, safety-focused professional who enjoys troubleshooting and working independently. As a technician, you will be the front line of service, ensuring critical systems such as POS equipment, alarms, and security devices operate efficiently across client locations.
Location:
Dallas, TX (On-Site / Field-Based)
Schedule:
Full-Time | 24/7 On-Call Rotation | 30-40% Overnight Travel
Pay Rate:
$23-$25/hour

Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and replace electro-mechanical equipment
Service devices such as cash registers, coin changers, alarms, and POS systems
Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions
Complete service requests and maintenance repairs in a timely, professional manner
Review work orders, manuals, and technical drawings
Utilize testing devices, hand tools, and power tools
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
Travel 30-40% overnight, including support for installations and upgrades
Maintain accurate documentation using company systems and mobile devices
Requirements
Must Have
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and be a strong problem-solver
Strong attention to safety and adherence to safety protocols
Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
Ability to travel 30-40% overnight
Good driving record
Proficiency with computers and smartphones
Nice to Have
Experience with POS systems (Verifone, NCR)
Experience with alarm systems
Experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical equipment
Ability to complete service requests professionally and efficiently
Ability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, and technical drawings
Experience using testing devices and hand/power tools
Willingness to support installations and upgrades in other regions
