Summary
Repairs electric motors, pumps, gear boxes, generators, and related electro/mechanical devices and equipment by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Uses mechanical aptitude for assembling, disassembling, and repair of electro-mechanical apparatus
Assemble, disassemble, and repair electro-mechanical apparatus
Diagnose failure modes and recommend repairs/corrections on electro-mechanical apparatus
No-load and load-test run electro-mechanical apparatus
Examine and inspect electrical connections, windings, coils, etc.
Clean parts via sandblasting, solvent cleaning, steam cleaning, hand polishing, with toolings, and/or other methods
Paint parts and whole assemblies of electro-mechanical apparatus
Install bearings and precision parts with care
Perform field service calls when requested to help diagnose, install, remove, modify, and/or align electro-mechanical apparatus
Balance rotating apparatus
Inspect and measure mechanical parts for wear
Follow test sheets, drawings, international standards, and other processes to ensure electro-mechanical tolerances are met or exceeded
Document all measurements and conditions on computer and handwriting during entire repair process
Coordinates job duties with supervisors to meet due dates
Various other duties as assigned

3-5 years of job experience in a similar role/industry preferred.
