Senior Mechanical Engineer – Commercial Platform
We are a global community dedicated to innovation and excellence in HVAC solutions. This role focuses on engineering processes, systems, and procedures for the design, development, and manufacture of heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems.

Responsibilities

Product design, engineering, and testing using thermodynamics, heat transfer theory, and simulation tools.

Perform engineering documentation, including bills of materials, cost analysis, and add/delete changes.

Develop and implement cost reduction opportunities in commercial products.

Handle applications for agency approvals and develop technical data for sales.

Research new and emerging HVAC technologies.

Design and size system assemblies, sub‑assemblies, and components.

Apply mechanical and thermal system design techniques to produce precision technical drawings, engineering models, and performance simulations.

Collaborate with thermal/fluid, electrical, control, and electrical‑mechanical component teams.

Conduct investigations and evaluation tests for new air‑conditioning designs and methods.

Formulate test approaches, plan test procedures, evaluate results, and provide recommendations.

Compile test data and prepare technical specifications.

Assist senior engineers in preparing product development plans and project schedules.

Coordinate with technical support to build design prototypes in the model shop.

Coordinate with sourcing, suppliers, supply chain, and manufacturing to prepare project‑related material and paperwork for prototyping, pilots, PPAP, and production release.

Participate in product qualification plans, risk assessment processes, FMEA, PFMEA, and DVP&R.

Write test procedures, compile and evaluate testing data, and prepare technical specifications for mechanical product qualification.

Coordinate with controls team to adjust and optimize control systems and algorithms for new products.

Lead documentation management, literature updates, and engineering change request

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Science, or a related field.

Six years of progressive experience in engineering processes, systems, and procedures for HVAC design and manufacturing.

At least two years of HVAC product design and manufacturing experience.

At least two years of experience in mechanical product qualification testing, including writing test procedures, compiling and evaluating testing data, and preparing technical specifications.

One year of experience with CAD software.

One year of experience working with electrical, control, and electrical‑mechanical components.

One year of experience with HVAC&R system modeling and simulation.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $97,000 – $115,000 annually. Eligible for the BroadBase Incentive (BBI) program with a target payout of 2%. This is a salaried exempt role; overtime is not applicable.

Paid Time Off: Up to 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well‑being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 9–11 paid company holidays (year dependent), and 3 floating holidays per year.

Location: Carrollton, TX. In‑office work Monday through Friday.
