Overview
BGIS is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician Lead (Stationary) to join the team in Ruskin, FL. This is an on-site role at the location detailed in the job post. Responsibilities
Lead a team of Technicians in the delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance, routine and on-demand services for assigned facilities.
Ensure work is performed in accordance with established processes and practices and compliant with environmental, health and safety, fire protection, and other requirements.
Supervise and perform maintenance activities, including facility, mechanical, and electrical equipment and systems monitoring and inspections to meet facility uptime objectives.
Maintain work order records within the service management maintenance database and initiate documents for formal approval of work required.
Coordinate and assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance programs; identify and escalate deficiencies and maintain related documentation.
Coordinate facility-related projects and support training, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and operational meetings.
Ensure tools are maintained, repaired or replaced as needed, and manage expenditures in a timely manner.
Respond to routine and on-demand service requests, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility systems.
Assist in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction through the quality and manner of work performed.
Minimum Education and Experience
High School / GED
5 years of facility operations and maintenance work experience
Prev. people leadership experience is preferred
Additional Qualifications
Willingness to work shifts, be on-call, and respond to emergencies
Willingness to wear personal protective equipment
Ability to lead a team of individuals and adhere to facility operation and maintenance processes
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for building mechanical and electrical systems
Current knowledge of fire, life safety, and building codes; ability to apply related codes
Environmental, health and safety mindset; strong client-service orientation and sense of urgency
Journeyman-level licenses (refrigeration, electrical, plumbing) and related certifications are preferred
Systems Maintenance Administration Certification and related accreditations are assets
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Ability to perform essential job duties; reasonable accommodations may be provided
Cognitive skills for safety-sensitive work; maintain focus and follow processes
Travel ability; travel in the Tampa area may be required
Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for meetings and site visits (travel reimbursed)
On-call emergency response as scheduled
Working at heights training/certification is preferred
