What You Will Do
As a Grounds Technician I, you will perform basic grounds maintenance in accordance with all applicable industry standards, laws and regulations. Working under the direction of a Grounds Technician III or Grounds Supervisor, you will apply your grounds maintenance knowledge and skills to operate and maintain basic equipment and tools. The work you do will support the safety and functionality of all County grounds and facilities.
Essential Duties
Maintain County grounds by performing leaf removal, mowing, trimming, trash cleanup, and other grounds maintenance tasks.
Operate and maintain basic grounds maintenance equipment and tools.
Follow all applicable laws and regulations, including OSHA, MOSH, Department of Natural Resources, State Annotated Code, and County Rules and Regulations.
Perform snow removal at County facilities as needed.
Gather proper materials and tools in preparation for jobs. Use resources effectively.
Follow all established safety rules and regulations. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
Complete assigned work in a timely fashion. Accept feedback.
