
MAINTENANCE MACHINIST/REPAIR O46 FACILITIES

Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance and repair of mechanical tools, air tools, pump and hydraulic equipment.
Repair and maintain critical equipment and systems providing plant services including low and high pressure steam system, river water system, air compressors, demineralized water systems, calibration and preventive maintenance.
Work day shift only; ability to work any shift also required.
Use basic hand tools, power tools, and precision tools.
Must Have
Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
Work in confined spaces and at heights (climb ladders). Must be able to work any shift.
Solid understanding of pumps, motors, boiler maintenance, boiler auxiliary systems, compressors, demineralized water systems, basic steam cycle, water chemistry, automated boiler control systems, HP and LP air systems.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Nice to Have
Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications or equipment repair manuals.
Experience with burner management systems, pumps, boiler auxiliary systems, compressors, and demineralized water generation.
Use of basic hand tools, power tools and precision tools.
Previous military experience with boiler maintenance and repair; experience with 600 psi marine type boilers; repairing centrifugal pump systems; repairing gearboxes and drive trains; previous millwright experience; river water systems and burner management systems.
