
Receiving Specialist

Role Overview
Own inbound material flow, receiving accuracy, and warehouse intake processes.
Ensure all material is received correctly, inspected, documented, and system-accurate.
Serve as the control point for supplier delivery quality and traceability.
Responsibilities
Receiving Execution
Receive and process incoming shipments in ERP/WMS systems.
Perform 3-way match (PO, packing slip, physical receipt).
Execute receiving transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
Inspection & Traceability
Perform receiving inspection for quantity, condition, and documentation.
Ensure proper capture of:
Certifications
Packing slips
Traceability (lot/serial where required)
Identify and elevate nonconforming material.
Scanning & Documentation
Utilize barcode scanners and systems for material intake and tracking.
Maintain complete and accurate digital records of all receipts.
Warehouse Management & Visual Controls
Manage inbound staging, putaway, and warehouse organization.
Maintain visual warehouse systems (clear locations, labeling, flow paths).
Ensure efficient dock-to-stock material flow.
Metrics & Performance
Track and improve:
Receiving accuracy (%)
Dock-to-stock cycle time
Discrepancy rate
Drive continuous improvement in receiving processes.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with procurement, quality, and production teams.
Resolve supplier and internal discrepancies quickly.
Minimum Requirements
3+ years in receiving, warehouse, or material control.
Experience with ERP/WMS and barcode scanning systems.
Strong attention to detail and process discipline.
Preferred Requirements
Experience in regulated or traceability-driven environments.
Familiarity with ITAR/FAR/DFARS requirements.
Experience with inspection processes and quality systems.

Hourly Rate
$30.00 – $48.00 per hour
