Grace Matthews’ practice is international in scope and focuses on three areas: sell-side transactions (private companies, divestitures for large multi-national corporations and private equity held businesses); buy-side projects (typically for major multi-nationals); and financing, where we raise debt and/or equity capital to support private equity sponsored management buy-outs or recapitalizations.
At Grace Matthews you will work directly with senior professionals on all aspects of client engagements. Specifically, you will:
Responsibilities
Perform company-specific and industry research and analysis
Prepare offering memoranda and other presentation documents
Develop valuation models using various methodologies, including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, industry trading comparables, and comparable transactions
Support all aspects of the due diligence process
Support transaction negotiation through closing
You will attend key transaction meetings and have meaningful interactions with clients. Our transaction teams are small in size, so you will have an important role and begin contributing immediately.
Grace Matthews is seeking experienced candidates with strong quantitative aptitude and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You should demonstrate an unparalleled work ethic and the ability to work under pressure. Candidates should have experience working in a fast-pace environment and should be able to hit the ground running. Candidates should have 1-4 years of work experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, corporate development, or other relevant positions. Technical and/or business degrees from a top-tier academic program are preferred, but not required.
Qualifications
College graduate with 1-4 years of relevant work experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Proven research and analytical ability
Energetic individual with strong work ethic
Strong interest in M&A and the financial markets
