Senior Accountant
Location: Cincinnati, OH (On-site)
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing construction-focused organization in the Cincinnati area. This role works closely with the Controller and Accounting team, handling core accounting functions while ensuring compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working on-site in a fast‑paced construction environment.
Key Requirements (Must‑Haves)
Construction industry experience required
Ability to work on‑site 5 days per week
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Responsibilities
Perform general ledger account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, and investigate discrepancies
Maintain and set up vendors
Process internal company invoicing
Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
Participate in month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Assist with reviewing weekly payroll
Process daily receipts
Support additional accounting and finance duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in a contracting business or accounting role
3+ years of senior‑level accounting experience
Full working knowledge of GAAP
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes
Education
Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Business, or a related field
Special Requirements
Valid Driver's License
