The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to design, optimize, and scale AI/ML and generative AI solutions for customers, driving their AI transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect complex, scalable, and secure AI/ML solutions on AWS tailored to customer needs.


• Develop, deploy, and fine‑tune machine learning models and generative AI applications that solve real-world business problems.


• Collaborate with customer stakeholders to identify high‑value use cases, gather requirements, and propose strategies for AI/ML adoption.


• Provide technical guidance on responsible, cost‑efficient AI implementation and troubleshoot project delivery.


• Act as a trusted advisor on AI/ML advancements and emerging technologies.


• Mentor, train, and share reusable AI/ML artifacts within the organization.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.


• 3+ years of experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, or data analysis tools.


• Professional software engineering experience: coding standards, architecture, code review, source control, continuous delivery, testing, and operational excellence.


• Active US Government TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in STEM.


• Experience on multi‑team, cross‑disciplinary projects.


• Quantitative analysis and data‑driven decision making skills.


• Knowledge of machine learning concepts applied to reasoning and problem solving.


• Experience defining benchmarks for generative AI model performance.


• Proficiency in Python, SQL/NoSQL, and API development for AI/ML deployment.


• Experience with large language models, prompt engineering, and generative AI frameworks.

Benefits & Compensation

Base salary range: $131,300 – $177,600 USD annually (Arlington, VA; Herndon, VA). Additional compensation includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
